Santa Fe, New Mexico 1846 – Museum Series

$37.50

This manuscript in the National Archives was drawn when American troops occupied Santa Fe during the Mexican War. It shows the central plaza reduced in size from its original design and the gradual development of the street pattern on the plan established early in the seventeenth century. This facsimile reproduces the gray and blue color washes used by the cartographer to emphasize buildings and streams.

The museum quality edition of this plan is printed on a heavy paper to highlight its delicate coloring and shading.

Size: 21 1/4 x 26 1/4 inches – Color, Cover-stock Paper
