Washington, D.C. 1892 – Museum Series

$40.00

All of the public buildings of the national capital are clearly depicted in this Currier and Ives lithograph. This is the second state of the print, with the Washington Monument completed. Its reflection shows only the lower portion of the shaft, an oversight by the lithographer when he added the top part of the monument but neglected to change its image in the waters of the Potomac River.

The large edition of this view highlights the quality of its coloring. The facsimile is reduced one-tenth from the original size.

Size: 19 x 27 1/2 inches. Color, Text-Weight Paper
