Washington, D.C. 1871 – Souvenir Series

$16.00

Edward Sachse was one of the pioneers in American color lithography, and this view is a fine example of his work. It shows the city as seen from the east, with the new Capitol in the foreground. Beyond, one can see the Mall and the diagonal alignment of Pennsylvania Avenue leading to the White House in the distance.
